Rain or Shine (Mostly Rain): A Hilarious Photo Shoot in Plymouth!

Let's face it, Wisconsin weather for real estate photos can be a coin toss. One minute it's sunshine city, the next, you're dodging raindrops. (Lately, it’s been a lot of raindrops!) That's exactly what happened during a recent shoot outside of Plymouth. But hey, when a homeowner has a garden in full bloom, you gotta make it work!

Our awesome homeowner (seriously, this lady deserves a trophy for dedication) had flowers that were, well, popping. We're talking wonderful colors, amazing smells – basically, a flower lover's dream come true. The only snag? The day of the shoot, it decided to sprinkle like a broken watering can.

But our homeowner wasn't about to let a little rain dampen the mood (or her Daylilies!). In a move of pure genius (and maybe a touch of "we gotta do what we gotta do"), she became Kim's personal rain shield, holding an umbrella like a pro. The next hour was a ton of laughter and smiles. We dodged raindrops like ninjas, Kim took photos with laser focus, and the homeowner mastered the art of the umbrella spin (seriously, this woman should be in the circus!). The whole scene was pretty funny, and we all just embraced the absurdity of it.

Here's the cool part: the rain actually ended up being a bonus! The water droplets on the flowers made them sparkle like crazy, and the damp ground gave the photos a cool, fresh feel. Post edit we removed the dark clouds to give this shoot a soft and pleasant image of home. It wasn't the shoot we planned, but it became a testament to teamwork, being flexible, and the power of a good attitude (and maybe a little umbrella action!).

This whole experience is a reminder that real estate photography isn't just about snapping pictures; it's about capturing a feeling, a moment, and meeting fun people. And sometimes, the most memorable moments happen when things get a little wacky. So next time you're faced with a rainy forecast for a shoot, don't panic! Grab an umbrella, get creative, and have some fun. You might just end up with photos that are even more special than you planned.

P.S. Big shoutout to our amazing homeowner for her awesome attitude and newfound umbrella skills. You rock!
